Logistics at Thiele

For more than 60 years, Thiele and our global partners have worked diligently to provide value-added products and services to our customers around the world.  To accomplish this goal, we have spent significant time and resources streamlining our processes throughout the supply chain.

Whether providing our products in small bags, super sacks or bulk, Thiele partners with reliable transportation companies for both domestic shipments and containerized shipments out of Savannah, Ga., USA or Charleston, S.C., USA.  In fact, our excellent relationships with local port authorities and domestic truck and rail companies allow us continued flexibility and cooperation that in the end lead to a more efficient and cost effective process.

For large export shipments, we ship our products through a bulk terminal handling facility in Savannah, Ga., USA.  With adequate storage silos at the port and daily contact with terminal personnel, we are able to meet the demands of a continually changing marketplace.  We have also maintained excellent working relationships with our bulk ocean carriers for decades.  As partners, our number one priority is our final customer.

In all areas of logistics, our goal is to consistently provide the superior service you have come to expect from Thiele Kaolin Company.  At the same time, we are always looking for ways to become more efficient and thus save our customers money.

Our approach at Thiele has always been to minimize total logistics costs while maintaining superior service.  Rather than solely profiting from savings, we choose to share these savings with our customers by minimizing the total delivered cost of our products.

As the market shifts and the logistics of moving goods around the world changes, Thiele Kaolin Company will continue to provide the most cost-effective solution in delivering our kaolin products.
