Thiele Kaolin Company announced today
that it will implement a price increase
on kaolin products for all markets,
effective January 1, 2008. The amount
of the increase will vary depending
on the grade of kaolin with the price
of some grades increasing by 10%.
“Escalations in energy, chemicals,
basic materials and transportation costs
have made it necessary for Thiele to raise
prices,” said Eric Tillirson, Vice
President of Sales and Marketing for Thiele
Kaolin Company. “Thiele continues to
aggressively pursue cost reduction efforts
through capital investments and a variety
of internal programs with the goal of minimizing
the need for future price increases.”
